Both having an eclectic background and a fierce work ethic, they joined forces to focus their energy on a single business endeavor that has since blossomed into the thriving jewelry company LA Rocks is today.
Our competitive niche in this industry is the product development aspect of our company. The styles we provide across all our platforms bring a sense of intimate fashion and oftentimes inspiration to stores that other jewelry brands do not. We focus less on making a better version of what our competitors are producing and more on breaking trail into the emotional side of jewelry, attempting to foster a sentimental connection between customer and product. We find this technique generates more business than fad trends ever could. Our ingenuity in this regard has allowed us to thrive and being the pioneers of this trend, we have no intention of slowing down.
The future of LA Rocks is a continued growth into new markets and younger demographics as we explore the sale of our jewelry in theme parks and promote partnerships with name brands that want to diversify their image.
LA Rocks was founded over a decade ago with the goal to produce the best product on the market while maintaining an etiquette of social responsibility. Today, as we invest in our future, we continue to make strides in the realm of CSR through the advancement of the social, environmental, and ethical standards which span our entire operation. Sustainability is a high priority both Nationally and Internationally with particular emphasis on where we source our materials and how we manufacture our products. Since our birth, we have established a Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure we only do business with suppliers who also live up to our code of ethics and maintain a responsible business model that focuses on social and environmental responsibility. While this is a constant battle, we never stop striving for the cleanest supply chain that reflects the integrity of our company.
One of our main focuses regarding social compliance stems from labor laws. We hold a strict child labor policy in accordance with American law even when doing business outside of the country. This is coupled with policies preventing forced/involuntary labor and harassment to ensure the health and well-being of any individual under our employment. We enforce these policies by visiting all entities in our supply chain on a regular basis and refraining from doing business with individuals who do not adhere to these practices.
We also pay special attention to the prevalence of conflict minerals in this industry. The United States Congress passed legislation requiring companies to report the use of “Conflict Minerals” under Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Reform and Consumer Protection Act. In accordance with the Conflict Mineral Section of this Act, LA Rocks is working with suppliers to conduct due diligence to determine if conflict minerals are used in any of our products. Based on our strict purchasing policy and our vetted supplier base, it is not likely that conflict minerals are used in the manufacturing of our products.
Our desire for a quality product starts at the factory. We ensure excellent working conditions for all employees of LA Rocks, both in the states and overseas, laying the foundation for superior merchandise. Our commitment to continuous improvement has catalyzed the implementation of a Quality Management System which provides a framework for measuring and improving our performance. This system includes the use of ISO Certified factories where applicable, ensuring factories are socially compliant, consistently monitoring the performance of suppliers, establishing and enforcing a training system for all employees and factories, and reviewing all internal procedures regularly and modifying them to match our business goals. We make sure to source the best materials possible from suppliers we trust and in doing so, we guarantee our products will have superior quality in the box and more longevity in use than our competitors.
